Planet Fitness has been our steadfast companion across the states, offering us a slice of routine and familiarity for just $24 for both of us. It’s fascinating how something as simple as a gym membership can lend a sense of stability to our ever-mobile lifestyle. Each workout session feels like coming home, a sentiment that’s been surprisingly comforting in the whirlwind of travel. While we stayed in Denver, we had a PF about 3 min drive from our Airbnb and while in Phoenix we had one about 5 min drive which is so convenient.

2. Nourishing the Body and Soul: Our Mindful Eating Journey

Our approach to nutrition has been a cornerstone of our wellness journey. Breakfast often features grounded flaxseed, a small yet powerful ritual that sets a healthy tone for the day. We’ve embraced the art of smoothie making, blending up local fruits for a taste of natural sweetness that’s both nutritious and refreshing.

Our weekly market visits are an adventure in themselves, discovering and incorporating fresh, vibrant produce and mostly fish into our meals. Eve’s preference for a non-meat diet has opened our eyes to the incredible variety and flavors of vegetarian cuisine. The principle of simplicity guides our choices—foods with too many ingredients or those that sound more like a chemical concoction than nourishment don’t make the cut.

Turning meal preparation into an adventure has been one of our most cherished practices. Cooking not just for sustenance but as an act of love and exploration has enriched our travels immensely. From preparing meals for scenic picnics to enjoying cozy dinners in new locations, these moments of shared creation and enjoyment ground us, making anywhere feel like home.

Scott’s dedication to his weight loss journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Having shed 9 pounds already, he’s passionately working towards his next goal, with another 13 pounds in sight. Each pound lost is celebrated with the same zest we reserve for each new destination we explore.

Meanwhile, I’m on my own path, focusing on building strength and muscle. Our activities are tailored to our individual goals—biking through bustling cities, hiking serene trails, and making the most of our gym sessions, all while supporting and motivating each other every step of the way.
